Professor Steve Dixon is President of LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore, and director of the award-winning multimedia performance company ‘The Chameleons Group’ (since 1994).

A renowned historian and theorist on the use of computer technologies in the arts, he is the author of ‘Cybernetic-Existentialism’ (Routledge 2020) and the 800-page ‘Digital Performance: A History of New Technologies in Theater, Dance, Performance Art and Installation’ (MIT Press 2007).

Steve is Co-Investigator of the AHRC (UK) funded Telepresence Stage project, and co-founder and Advisory Editor of the International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media (Routledge).
